A+ product pages / DECISION GUIDE
Which A+ modules can you reuse across different SKUs?
Reuse a finished A+ image only when everything it shows and says remains true for the receiving product. Reusing a layout is a different decision: replace the product-specific facts and visuals. Keep the eligible product versions with each asset; a shared brand or similar SKU name does not establish shared construction.
Separate the common design from the common facts
In a fictional lunch-container family, F1 is documented as 700 mL with a removable divider, while F2 is 1000 mL with a fixed partition. Their brand direction may be shared. A finished image showing F1’s removable divider cannot migrate to F2 merely because both have two visible compartments.
A layout can keep its typography, spacing and heading order while its photographs and statements change. A finished raster image carries the actual lid, divider, capacity and small captions as pixels. Changing its filename from F1 to F2 does not replace those facts. Use product-family comparison planning when the task is helping buyers choose between the products rather than reusing one asset.
Name the asset and its eligible product versions
| Fictional asset | Eligibility decision | Why |
|---|---|---|
| B1 documented brand-purpose image | Potentially F1 and F2, after both reviews | Only if its words and visible objects remain true for both |
| D1 removable-divider demonstration | F1 only | F2 has a fixed partition |
| C1 700 mL capacity image | F1 only | F2’s source value differs |
| T1 visual layout template | May guide both variants | Each resulting image still needs its own product evidence |
| A1 included-parts image | Only the exact approved pack-out revision | A supplier change can invalidate this image independently |
The eligibility list is an external editorial record. Product codes here are invented examples, not Amazon identifiers or tested CartVisual catalog entries.
Inspect the picture, adjacent text and alternative text
For F2, inspect the entire reused image rather than only its headline. A generic heading such as “made for daily use” cannot cancel the removable-divider picture beneath it. Check edition, color, lid construction, component count and any scene objects that imply inclusion.
Then check the destination’s adjacent copy and image description. An updated picture with F1 named in its text remains inconsistent. Record which product the visible and nonvisual descriptions identify. If a module needs exceptions that ask buyers to ignore the picture, make a product-specific variant or choose a genuinely shared message.
Create the needed visual without inventing catalog synchronization
In A+ content, provide F2’s actual product sources and verified facts. Choose the relevant output role, such as Included accessories or Dimensions & sizing. The current workbench offers individual selected roles and a complete detail-page image; these are generated visual candidates, not editable native seller modules.
Amazon describes applying content to one or more ASINs in its own A+ Content Manager. That destination function is separate from CartVisual generation. Map your receiving product versions to the correct destination records and complete their actual preview and review process. CartVisual does not automatically propagate B1 or D1 across SKUs.
Reopen only the assets affected by a real change
If F1’s pack-out later removes a supplied divider, revisit A1 and D1, their captions and all affected placements. B1 may remain valid if it does not depend on that part. A product change is a reason to trace dependencies, not automatically regenerate the whole family.
Keep the exact source revision, asset version, approved receiving products and content owner together. For the fictional example, D1 remains rejected for F2 even if it fits the page perfectly. No module, ASIN application, generation or publication was performed for this exercise.

Frequently asked questions
Does a shared brand mean every module can be reused?
No. Review every visible and written fact for the receiving product. A brand message can still show product-specific objects.
Can I reuse the design without reusing the finished image?
Yes. A common layout can guide separate variants whose product photographs and facts are reviewed independently.
Does CartVisual automatically apply approved assets to other SKUs or ASINs?
No. Keep an external eligibility record and use the destination’s own content workflow for the correct product records.
