Credits & account / QUESTION GUIDE

How do you budget for a finished campaign rather than just generated files?

Estimate the complete production workflow, not only the credits charged by generation. A generated clip may still need editing, narration, captions and review. Keep those tasks in the plan with their own time or external costs, and distinguish a reusable approved source from a campaign-ready deliverable.

01 / HOW DO YOU BUDGET FOR A FINISHED CAMPAIGN RATHER THAN JUST GENERATED FILES?

Define what finished means

Write the destination and the approval conditions. The actual source clip and a finished social ad can be different deliverables. Check the audio, duration and assembly in the selected route’s delivered file rather than assuming every model has the same output. A packaging concept is not a print-approved package. Avoid counting every downloaded file as a completed campaign asset.

For an illustrative launch, the team might need one identification image, one product explanation and one edited video. List the remaining work for each before estimating how many generations are useful. The example is not a measured CartVisual production cost.

Create a workflow estimate

Use your actual supplier and staffing costs. Do not substitute speculative savings or a competitor’s marketing benchmark for your own estimate.

Fictional project W1 needs two final image layouts and one final edited video. Its teaching estimate assigns 2 staff-hours to source preparation, 3 to finishing, 1 to factual review and 1 to release checks: 7 staff-hours in total. A separate hypothetical plan of 6 quoted actions at 10 credits each is 60 credits. Those units cannot be added into “67” as one cost.

Keep the base plan and a deliberate review allowance as separate rows. Do not reserve unlimited attempts or assume that every rejected creative result is a provider failure with a refund. Record only actual charges and applicable handling. Reuse can reduce new generation work, while layout and review still consume time. No campaign was produced, paid for or timed for this worksheet.

03 / HOW DO YOU BUDGET FOR A FINISHED CAMPAIGN RATHER THAN JUST GENERATED FILES?

Use the workbench quote for its own operation

CartVisual shows the quote for the chargeable action you are confirming. Check the current resolution, duration and membership access there. Planning a storyboard and generating a video are distinct operations. Do not use a remembered rate or a research article as the authority for the current charge.

Reuse an approved result when it genuinely fits another layout. That can reduce new generation needs, but the new layout still requires its own finishing and review. Keep the generation budget separate from external service purchases.

04 / HOW DO YOU BUDGET FOR A FINISHED CAMPAIGN RATHER THAN JUST GENERATED FILES?

Compare the estimate with actual completion

After the project, record accepted source assets, finished deliveries and time spent on corrections. Keep a reason for rejected candidates without turning a small pilot into a universal acceptance-rate promise. The useful question is which stage creates the next bottleneck.

Use accepted-asset accounting for generation efficiency and editor handoff for remaining video work. Check current terms before purchasing capacity. This worksheet supports planning; it does not promise campaign profit.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Are generation credits the full campaign cost?

No. Include relevant preparation, finishing and review work.

Does a generated source file complete every campaign task?

No. Identify what the actual output contains, then budget the remaining edit, audio, captions and review that the destination needs.

Which price should I use?

Use the actual current quote and the external costs applicable to your project.
