Packaging studio / QUESTION GUIDE
Where should a tamper seal sit in a packaging concept?
Place the proposed seal according to the real opening path and supplier-approved construction. Decide what should remain readable before opening and what is intentionally broken. A sticker in an AI render is not evidence that the package has a working tamper feature or meets a compliance requirement.
Identify the actual access path and proposed claim
Use the supplier’s exact construction and ask which opening the seal is intended to indicate. A sticker that crosses one visible lid edge may not address another access route. Record the actual material, closure and claimed behavior with the supplier instead of inferring protection from a render.
Avery describes a particular label using security slits that break on removal. That is a vendor product description, not evidence that any decorative sticker behaves the same way or that your package is tamper-proof, child-resistant or certified.
Separate the opening message from retained information
Fictional gift-carton exercise: a proposed seal crosses the front lid seam, while a separate base flap also exists. Its print includes an opening note and a support address. No carton was sealed or opened for this article.
| Question | Check on the actual proposed sample | Design decision to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Front seam | Does the specified opening disturb the intended feature? | Supplier confirms the actual construction and claim |
| Base flap | Does this route bypass the feature? | Do not imply all access is covered without evidence |
| Before opening | Can the intended message be read at its actual size? | Review type and seam placement |
| After opening | Is support or other needed information destroyed? | Keep required retained information in a suitable persistent location |
A broken-state concept only expresses an intended result. Obtain the real sample and findings before claiming that removal leaves a reliable indication. Do not make the support address readable only on a strip expected to tear away.
Keep the visual concept and mechanism specification separate
Use concept imagery to show the proposed seal’s relationship to the known opening. Inspect duplicated stickers, impossible edges and wording hidden by the fold. Transfer exact text and placement to the approved supplier template in the proper production workflow.
CartVisual does not supply a tested seal system or adhesive specification. A concept that makes a decorative circle look official must not add a security or certification promise unsupported by the actual package.
Review the actual before-and-after sample
Agree with the supplier which real checks and evidence are relevant to the proposed claim. Review the sample before opening, the intended opening result, other relevant access paths and text that remains. Record the exact construction, label/artwork revision and unresolved findings.
If the seal moves or changes size, update both the artwork and the marketing view. Use unboxing planning for the broader sequence and sample approval scope for the release record. No adhesive, security, safety or regulatory test was performed here.

Frequently asked questions
Does a seal in a render prove tamper protection?
No. Verify the actual construction and behavior appropriate to the proposed claim with the responsible supplier.
Should every message sit on the breakable strip?
Check what is needed before and after opening. Do not destroy information that must remain available.
Can a supplier label description certify our whole carton?
No. A specific label mechanism does not verify every access path or the complete package.
