DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Image remix
How do I extend a product banner while keeping the approved product pixels untouched?
Keep the approved product on a protected separate layer and extend only the surrounding composition. Review the boundary and shadows after extension; a wider image should not silently become a newly reconstructed product.
Work through the cause
- Save a layered source and identify a complete approved product region. If separation is unreliable, keep an actual photograph instead of claiming pixel preservation.
- Extend the canvas or backdrop on separate working layers. Avoid transforming the preserved product merely to make the new space look filled.
- Compare the product layer with its source and inspect the final composite at the seam, contact point and any reflected background.
A concrete case (illustrative)
Illustrative case: a square bottle image needs room for a portrait campaign heading. The background can gain space above the bottle while its approved pixel layer remains unchanged. The new text should be an editable layout element.
Acceptance and next action
Pass when the stated preserved region has actually remained unchanged and the extended scene is visually coherent. Record any local retouching rather than calling an altered product untouched. This is a manual post-production approach, not an automatic CartVisual pixel-lock guarantee.
