DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Assets & tasks

How do I avoid uploading yesterday’s product export after a batch conversion?

Use a clean destination and an explicit input-to-output list. Multiple similarly named exports make it easy to select an older file even when the latest conversion completed successfully.

01 / HOW DO I AVOID UPLOADING YESTERDAY’S PRODUCT EXPORT AFTER A BATCH CONVERSION?

Work through the cause

  1. Create a new dated delivery folder outside the input tree. Record source filenames and the intended destination format before converting.
  2. Process a small sample and inspect the actual output location and naming behavior. Avoid recursively processing a folder containing earlier outputs.
  3. Open the final candidates from the delivery folder itself. Compare their visible content and dimensions with the source list before uploading.

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: bottle_front.jpg exists in an old JPEG folder and a new campaign folder. The importer selects the old one by name. A clean delivery folder containing only approved new files removes that ambiguity.

Acceptance and next action

Pass when every upload candidate maps to one approved source and the folder contains no previous campaign variants. Preserve the old work for recovery; do not solve selection confusion by deleting unrelated production archives.
