How to show products nested or stacked without inventing their fit

Individually accurate objects can form an inaccurate stack. A nested image adds a relationship between products, including overlap, orientation and clearance. Establish that relationship with a real arrangement before using it in a campaign. Keep sold quantity, visible contact and any storage claim as distinct decisions during review and handoff.

01 / HOW TO SHOW PRODUCTS NESTED OR STACKED WITHOUT INVENTING THEIR FIT

Treat the relationship as new evidence

Separate product identity from assembly state. Two bowls photographed individually can establish their rims and finishes, but those views may not show whether one actually sits inside the other. A convincing generated arrangement can conceal an impossible overlap. Add an authoritative photograph of the intended nested state, preferably showing the contact regions that determine how far the objects enter or support each other.

Record which units are sold together, their orientation, the order of nesting and any loose pieces omitted from the view. If the requested arrangement is only a styling idea, label it as an unresolved concept in the internal record. It should not become public evidence of compact storage, compatibility or load capacity simply because the constituent products look familiar.

02 / HOW TO SHOW PRODUCTS NESTED OR STACKED WITHOUT INVENTING THEIR FIT

Decide whether arrangement or separated views serve the buyer

Use a fictional set B6 containing one large bowl L and one small bowl S. The owner’s arrangement photograph N1 shows S nested inside L with part of L’s rim still visible. Individual views I-L and I-S identify each bowl but do not establish the nesting depth.

EvidenceB6 decisionWhat remains separate
I-L and I-S onlyShow the two bowls separately while obtaining N1Whether these exact revisions nest
Current N1Compare order, visible rim and overlap with N1Measured storage saving
A photographed vertical stackDescribe only the documented visible arrangementSafe load and stability under actual use
Old large bowl with current small bowlHold the relational imageWhether the mixed revisions fit

If one asset shows B6 nested and a second asset shows the same bowls separated, identify them as two views of one set. Do not imply the buyer receives two sets. Within a single composition, duplicated standalone and nested bowls can also suggest extra units; a tiny note is not an automatic cure.

03 / HOW TO SHOW PRODUCTS NESTED OR STACKED WITHOUT INVENTING THEIR FIT

Set up Product images around the documented state

In Product images, upload consistent references of the actual set, including a real supported arrangement when nesting is required. State the sold units and intended state in Product facts & requirements. Additional views should clarify the offer rather than accidentally implying extra units. Select an image role suited to showing the relationship, and keep nearby props visually secondary.

Inspect each contact landmark: exposed rim, direction of handles, lowest contact point, visible air gap and concealed bottom. Compare relationships as well as silhouettes. A bowl whose outer shape is correct may still pass through its neighbor's rim. Do not infer physical clearance from the generated pixels or approve a supporting surface that appears to carry an object without actual contact.

04 / HOW TO SHOW PRODUCTS NESTED OR STACKED WITHOUT INVENTING THEIR FIT

Resolve an illustrative bowl set

For B6, compare L’s exposed rim, S’s orientation and the visible overlap before judging symmetry. Candidate A reverses the order and hides L inside S. Reject that relationship even if both individual shapes look plausible. Candidate B keeps the order but puts a towel over the rim contact; it does not provide an inspectable nesting explanation.

Remove the obstruction in a source-supported presentation or use N1 as the actual arrangement image. If N1 is missing, retain separate identification views and request a real nested view. A new generated cross-section does not establish hidden clearance, wall contact or the nesting depth.

A compact-looking stack is not a percentage storage test. Define and measure the actual comparison if a saving claim is needed, with the same units and product revisions. Changing a rim, handle or included lid reopens the relationship review even when the count remains two. No bowls were assembled, measured, load-tested or generated for this exercise.

Preserve the arrangement record for later variants

Google's policy rejects misleading information about the products offered.

Handoff the approved unit list, source arrangement and contact landmarks with the image. Flag any later substitution of a different size, revised rim or accessory as requiring another relationship review. An editor should not assume that a stack can be reused for a visually similar variant. The approval covers the depicted arrangement, not every possible combination in the family.

Use bundle quantity review to verify what is sold and state references to track supported configurations. Escalate unknown physical fit to the merchant or product owner. A regenerated arrangement cannot replace a missing real assembly record or prove stacking stability, safe load or storage capacity.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Do separate product photographs prove nesting?

No. They can identify the items, but the physical relationship needs its own evidence.

Can I measure storage savings from the generated image?

No. Establish the actual dimensions and comparison outside CartVisual.

What if the products are only arranged for decoration?

Keep an unsupported arrangement as an internal concept. For public imagery, use a documented relationship or a separated view that does not suggest unverified fit, stability or additional included units.
