Should a regional product message be a translation or a market adaptation?

Use language translation for the language version and deliberate market adaptation for region-specific content where the platform supports it. Two markets sharing a language can still require different approved offers or wording.

01 / SHOULD A REGIONAL PRODUCT MESSAGE BE A TRANSLATION OR A MARKET ADAPTATION?

Work through the cause

  1. List the target market and language separately. Identify which facts remain universal and which region-specific statements have evidence.
  2. Apply the change at the intended resource and market scope in the current translation/adaptation workflow. Avoid putting a regional offer into the global source by accident.
  3. Preview the relevant market-language combinations and a control market. Verify visible copy alongside actual purchase and availability behavior.
02 / SHOULD A REGIONAL PRODUCT MESSAGE BE A TRANSLATION OR A MARKET ADAPTATION?

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: two English-language markets have different approved delivery statements. Rewriting the global English product description can accidentally apply one market’s promise to both.

03 / SHOULD A REGIONAL PRODUCT MESSAGE BE A TRANSLATION OR A MARKET ADAPTATION?

Acceptance and next action

Pass when each message has the intended regional scope and agrees with store operations. A text adaptation does not configure fulfillment or make an offer available. Do not claim that translated copy alone enables a new market.
