A+ product pages / QUESTION GUIDE
How do you compare pack sizes on an A+ page fairly?
Compare pack sizes on the same basis. A two-pack of larger units and a four-pack of smaller units cannot be understood from icon count alone. State unit capacity and total supplied quantity separately, then choose the comparison that answers the buyer’s actual question.
Write the quantities before the graphics
Record the verified number of units, quantity per unit and any differing formulation or contents. Do not assume the largest package contains the most product. For your own Amazon A+ artwork and text, use permitted factual product information and omit merchant-written prices and promotional claims. A price workflow on another store is a separate task governed by that destination’s rules; updating a price does not make it eligible for Amazon A+.
In an illustrative storage-container range, two large boxes and four small boxes may have different total usable capacity. External dimensions are not the same as internal capacity. Obtain the product owner’s approved figures rather than estimating from the image.
Choose the denominator
| Buyer question | Comparison basis | Extra explanation |
|---|---|---|
| How many units? | Count per pack | Show unit sizes separately |
| How much product? | Total verified amount | Keep units consistent |
| Which fits my space? | Actual unit dimensions | Do not use total quantity |
| Which quantity suits the task? | Verified count and amount per unit | Keep custom A+ text factual, without merchant-written prices or promotions |
If products differ in more than size, describe the difference rather than pretending that a single total ranks them. A comparison can support selection without naming a universal winner.
Fictional supplied refill liquid of the same formulation: pack A has 2 pouches at 750 mL each; pack B has 4 pouches at 300 mL each. A supplies 1500 mL; B supplies 1200 mL. B contains more separate units, but A supplies 300 mL more liquid. These are teaching quantities, not products inspected for this guide.
| Buyer question | A | B |
|---|---|---|
| Separate supplied units | 2 pouches | 4 pouches |
| Amount per unit | 750mL | 300mL |
| Total supplied amount | 2×750=1500mL | 4×300=1200mL |
| Fit/storage question | Need actual pouch dimensions | Need actual pouch dimensions |
| Custom A+ quantity text | Factual supplied amount | Factual supplied amount; omit merchant-written prices and promotions |
Do not substitute package external volume for supplied liquid, or infer container usable capacity from a picture. A larger amount is not a universal best choice. If formulation, concentration or included contents differ, disclose them rather than rank options from this one total. If a separate store permits a price comparison, check that destination’s rules and its approved current prices in a separate workflow. Do not copy that store’s pricing comparison into your custom A+ artwork or text, or infer a best-value claim from quantity alone.
Create an honest quantity illustration
In A+ product pages, use photographs of the actual pack configurations. Keep the visual count exact and avoid perspective that makes the smaller option look larger. Build the numerical table with a precise external layout or native destination text. A generated multiplication graphic may alter numbers or repeat units incorrectly.
Amazon’s restrictions exclude merchant-authored pricing and promotional details in custom content. The same guide separately describes prices in an Amazon-supported Premium shoppable comparison module. Use that native feature only when available and permitted for the actual account; it does not authorize baking prices into your own graphic or adding promotional copy. Check the current Seller Central rules and preview before submitting. Use common labels and clear headings. If capacity is relevant, specify whether it is supplied product volume or a container’s usable volume. Do not let a short caption collapse different concepts into the same word size.
Proof the arithmetic and reading path
Have a second reviewer calculate totals from the source record and compare them with the final module. Then view the graphic on a phone. If the reader cannot tell unit count from amount per unit, simplify the design rather than reducing the type further.
The usable dimensions guide establishes measurement scope, and family comparison handles broader selection. Keep the quantity worksheet with the factual asset. If another channel uses a permitted price comparison, retain it separately so a later update cannot introduce merchant-authored price or promotional copy into custom Amazon A+ content.

Frequently asked questions
Is more units always more total quantity?
No. Compare verified quantity per unit and total supplied amount.
Can generated icons prove pack count?
Check every depicted item against the actual pack.
Can I put prices into an Amazon A+ quantity graphic?
Do not add merchant-written prices or promotional details to custom A+ text or images. An available Amazon-supported Premium shoppable price field is a separate native feature, subject to the account’s current eligibility and rules.
