How do you describe a bundle without confusing pack and unit prices?

Name the sold quantity before comparing prices. A bundle price, a per-item calculation and a comparison with another pack are different statements. Keep the arithmetic and the pictured units consistent, and obtain commerce approval for any savings claim.

01 / HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE A BUNDLE WITHOUT CONFUSING PACK AND UNIT PRICES?

Define the sale unit

For a hypothetical three-pouch bundle, the buyer pays for one pack containing three specified items. Write that relationship explicitly. A headline showing a per-pouch figure beside a photograph of the full bundle can be misunderstood if the actual checkout charge is much larger.

Use current approved prices and quantities. Do not invent a former price to make the bundle look like a better deal. If individual products have different sizes or contents, equal item count may not provide a fair comparison.

Check the denominator

The table provides an editorial arithmetic review, not a rule for every market’s price-display obligations. Follow the destination’s current requirements separately.

Fictional arithmetic, not a live promotion: pack A contains three identical pouches for USD 18, so 18 ÷ 3 = USD 6 per pouch. Pack B contains two of the same pouches for USD 14, so 14 ÷ 2 = USD 7 per pouch. The amount for one pack A remains USD 18; a buyer cannot infer that USD 6 buys the full pictured pack. If the selected destination changes from A to B, update the depicted quantity, pack amount and derived figure together.

Keep the denominator explicit: “one pouch” is not “100 mL,” and one large plus two small pouches does not justify describing each component as an identical USD 6 item. Shopify’s unit-pricing documentation separates product price, total measurement and comparison base. This manual per-item worksheet is not a claim that the platform’s measurement field accepts every bundle structure. Verify the destination’s actual supported settings; obtain the applicable pricing-display review separately.

03 / HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE A BUNDLE WITHOUT CONFUSING PACK AND UNIT PRICES?

Review the artwork quantity

Count the pictured included items and distinguish props or optional additions. If the poster repeats one package decoratively, prevent that repetition from implying a larger pack. Keep native copy available to clarify the sale unit when the image is small.

04 / HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE A BUNDLE WITHOUT CONFUSING PACK AND UNIT PRICES?

Inspect the selected checkout path

Follow the campaign to the correct option and compare the charge with the copy. A valid calculation for one bundle is not automatically valid for every selectable pack. Use bundle imagery and common-denominator comparisons before release.

Retain a row for each selectable pack with its SKU/option, included quantity, current pack price, currency, calculation basis and approved asset version. Confirm whether shipping, tax or other charges are included in that stated amount instead of calling the product price an all-in checkout total. A cost-per-pouch comparison does not establish a permitted “save” claim: the reference offer must describe comparable goods and have its own approval. Use market-specific price review when the currency or offer changes.

05 / HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE A BUNDLE WITHOUT CONFUSING PACK AND UNIT PRICES?

An illustrative pack-price check

A fictional campaign shows three identical items, while the chosen checkout option sells a pack of two. The arithmetic in its per-item headline was calculated from the three-item offer. Reject that combination before polishing the poster. Correct the selected option, pictured quantity and approved total as one change, then recalculate any permitted comparison from the actual sale unit. Keep the calculation privately with the release record. This worked example does not recommend a price or establish a savings claim; it shows why a correct calculation can still describe the wrong offer.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Can I headline only the per-item amount?

State what the buyer purchases and the actual pack amount. For the fictional three-pouch USD 18 pack, USD 6 per pouch is a derived comparison, not the charge for the entire pack. Follow the destination’s applicable display requirements.

Is equal item count always comparable?

No. Contents and sizes can differ.

Can AI supply the savings baseline?

Use an approved real reference offer.
