DECISION GUIDE / A+ product pages

How do I keep verified product limitations from disappearing during AI rewrites?

Treat a verified limitation as controlled product information, not optional wording that a shorter draft can discard. Keep its approved meaning and applicable product version in a separate register, then require a person to locate that meaning in every final advertisement or product-page version.

01 / DECISION GUIDE

Give each limitation an accountable identity

Fictional exercise: a decorative display stand is documented for indoor use. Its approved copy says so; an AI rewrite changes the message to display anywhere. The rewrite needs review even if the product photograph remains unchanged.

Create statement L01 with the approved wording, supporting document edition, affected product version and approval owner. Preserve the approved record separately from working drafts. This is a manual publishing arrangement, not an automatic CartVisual compliance lock.

02 / DECISION GUIDE

Compare meaning and placement together

Record each destination version against L01. A matching phrase elsewhere on the site does not establish that this particular advertisement communicates the same boundary.

Make the final comparison a release gate

Ask AI to retain the registered conditions, but verify its output independently. A prompt instruction is not proof that every shortened or translated version remains accurate.

  1. Identify the approved statement IDs relevant to the current product and claim.
  2. Compare the new version with the approved baseline, including images and nearby text.
  3. Locate each limitation in the actual destination preview and record its context.
  4. Return missing, broadened or ambiguous statements to the responsible reviewer.
  5. Save the approved destination version and reviewer decision before publication.

Separate changed facts from changed wording

FTC advertising guidance considers the overall message in the United States. It does not supply a worldwide approval checklist. The register here is an editorial method for preserving known product information.

When instructions or construction change, ask the product owner whether L01 should be replaced, retained or retired. Keep the previous decision for affected older versions. Do not infer expanded suitability from a more attractive generated scene.

Record the decision in a manual worksheet

Controlled-copy release register — fictional practice rows

The download contains fictional practice rows. Actual evidence and release decisions are blank for you to fill in. This manual record does not inspect products, update a store or certify compliance. Keep private material out of public copies.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Must every version use exactly the same sentence?

Equivalent wording can be approved, but compare the complete meaning and placement rather than matching keywords alone.

Does the register certify an advertisement?

No. It records manual checks; product evidence and appropriate destination review remain necessary.
