Product videos / QUESTION GUIDE
Can a first-frame product video prove a complete 360-degree view?
No. A camera move around a product can reveal generated surfaces that the first frame never established. A complete-view claim needs evidence of the actual sides being shown. Use a restrained move when only one view is documented, and do not label an invented rear surface as a verified 360-degree product view.
Map documented sides
List the front, rear, left, right, top and bottom views you actually possess. Mark which are visible in the approved first frame and which have separate photographs. A single image can show several planes, but it cannot establish every hidden port or seam. Keep the view map beside the storyboard.
For an illustrative speaker, a rear charging connector and side controls are purchase-relevant. If the camera travels behind the speaker, compare the revealed areas with actual photos. A smooth orbit is not evidence that those connectors were preserved.
Choose the movement scope
| Evidence | Useful movement | Claim boundary |
|---|---|---|
| One front view | Small lateral or push move | Do not promise full coverage |
| Front and side sources | Controlled partial orbit | Review newly revealed side |
| All actual sides documented | Broader concept may be tested | Still inspect every revealed area |
| Unknown rear construction | Stay within known view | Obtain evidence first |
A collection of source views improves review evidence; it does not guarantee a generator reconstructs an exact three-dimensional object.
Review the planned path before generation
Review the actual selected production route, its supported references and planned camera movement. When using an approved starting image, check which surfaces that image establishes. A plan for a full orbit still needs evidence for newly revealed construction; neither a storyboard nor a smooth generated move is itself a verified product scan.
After generation, inspect the transition into previously hidden surfaces. Check the connector, component count, logo and proportions there, rather than concentrating only on the opening frame.
Publish the movement honestly
A partial rotating presentation can still be useful when it shows a real feature clearly. Name its role as a creative presentation, not complete construction evidence. Use actual photographs or a separately verified three-dimensional workflow when exhaustive product coverage matters.
The missing-angle guide helps identify evidence gaps, and shape-drift review covers mutations over time. Keep the view map with the released clip and remove any claim the footage cannot support.
Fictional speaker S: front photo F-v2 establishes one grille; side photo L-v2 establishes the left control. The rear connector has no same-edition source. A proposed shot turns far enough to reveal the rear and invents a second socket. Even if the move returns smoothly to its opening view, the connector remains unsupported.
| Revealed region | Available evidence | Review outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Front grille | F-v2, same edition | Compare the actual moving geometry with F-v2 |
| Left control | L-v2, same edition | Inspect its first appearance and connection to the body |
| Rear socket | No actual rear source | Hold the rear-revealing passage or obtain the missing evidence |
| Closed return to opening | Smooth loop only | Does not validate intermediate unseen construction |
Retain a partial move only if it stays within evidenced geometry and communicates its limited role clearly. A small camera displacement is not automatically safe: it can reveal a hidden edge. The missing-angle article decides which still evidence to obtain; this map decides which moving passage that evidence can support. The speaker and file identifiers are invented; no orbit was generated or measured.

Frequently asked questions
Does smooth rotation establish a 3D model?
No. Hidden surfaces can be generated rather than reconstructed accurately.
Can I use a partial orbit?
Yes, review the revealed surfaces against actual evidence.
What proves the rear construction?
A real view or an independently verified product representation.
