DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Assets & tasks
Why can I see a metaobject in Shopify admin but not in the storefront?
Inspect the entry’s status, access configuration and theme connection. An admin preview or saved draft is not proof that the entry is available in the public storefront context.
Work through the cause
- Identify the exact entry referenced by the product. Check its draft or active status and the intended storefront access for the definition.
- Confirm that the theme is connected to the relevant fields. Keep unfinished entries private instead of activating every draft to troubleshoot.
- Test the actual public page after the approved status and connection changes. Include another product as a control.
A concrete case (illustrative)
Illustrative case: a completed-looking care card remains a draft while the product references it. The merchant should approve the content and its exposure deliberately rather than copy its text into unrelated template sections.
Acceptance and next action
Pass when the approved entry appears in the intended public location and unapproved drafts remain unexposed. Visibility is a configuration outcome, not an endorsement or proof that the product’s claims have been verified.
