Product images / FIELD GUIDE
What does a subscription-product image promise about each delivery?
Clarify whether the image shows one delivery, several deliveries or an illustrative range. Use the actual subscription terms for quantity and schedule. A large group of products should not make one recurring shipment appear more generous than it is.
Define one shipment before choosing the image
Record the exact purchase option and what one physical delivery contains. Keep the billing interval, delivery interval and number of deliveries per billing cycle separate. Shopify describes subscriptions as recurring purchase options, but its general article cannot determine your merchant’s actual terms or shipment contents.
Use the approved offer and its selected plan, not an assumption that “monthly” means a particular calendar date or that one payment always equals one box. Do not infer cancellation or payment rules from an image.
Six packs in a cycle are not six packs in one box
Fictional editorial exercise: an approved offer expressly specifies two shipments per eight-week billing cycle. Each shipment contains three tea packs and is scheduled four weeks apart under that offer. These invented conditions are not a live subscription or a calendar promise.
| Image or phrase | Meaning under this invented offer | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| One box with three packs | One shipment | Suitable only if those three contents are the approved depicted shipment |
| Six packs around one box | Could suggest six packs in one delivery | Change the composition or explain two separate shipments clearly |
| Six packs across two labeled delivery groups | Cycle allocation, not one box | Keep each group’s three-pack shipment distinct |
| Billed every eight weeks | Payment schedule | Do not relabel it as an eight-week delivery interval |
| One-time purchase option | A different offer | Do not reuse recurring terms without an accurate destination explanation |
The six-pack total is 2 × 3 for this explicit fictional offer. It must not be calculated from an interval alone when the actual number or start of shipments is unknown.
Check where the campaign actually lands
Follow the final campaign link in the approved test workflow and inspect the selected one-time or subscription option, variant, shipment quantity and schedule wording. Do not approve only the default product-page view if the campaign passes a different option. Correct an arrival-state mismatch before publication.
If the image depicts a sample assortment, apply the separate sample and substitution-rule check. This guide does not decide which future flavors are guaranteed. Do not let an accurate count conceal an unsupported promise about the next selection.
Reopen the affected image when the offer changes
Keep the image revision, purchase-option identity and approved shipment terms together. If the business changes to two packs per shipment or changes the delivery interval, check every quantity and schedule statement tied to that offer. A new caption cannot repair a composition that still clearly suggests the old quantity.
Use bundle quantity review for one-sale units and replacement-use evidence for consumption claims. Delivery cadence does not establish how quickly a customer consumes the product. No subscription account, payment, order or destination selection was tested here; CartVisual does not operate the merchant’s fulfillment.

Make that scope clear and keep each actual delivery quantity distinct. Do not present the combined quantity as one shipment.
Does the billing interval establish the delivery interval?
No. Obtain the actual approved billing and shipment terms separately.
Can a platform help article establish our shipment contents?
No. Use your approved offer and verify the actual selected purchase option and destination.
