How do I choose one of four storyboard options without voting for the prettiest sheet?

Reject inaccurate panels first. Compare all panels in each four-sheet option against the same approved plan, then choose among the options that survive factual review.

01 / HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE OF FOUR STORYBOARD OPTIONS WITHOUT VOTING FOR THE PRETTIEST SHEET?

Use the same product brief for all four

A fictional lunch-box seller compares four complete visual options for one approved plan: two compartments, one removable divider and a blue lid. Keep the shot order and verified product facts fixed. In the current CartVisual workflow the four grids vary lighting and background around that approved sequence; they are not four separately approved storylines.

Read the saved plan’s count: 9, 16 or 25 panels. Review that many cells in every option. A more attractive setting is not permission to add a third compartment, a new included accessory, or a leakproof demonstration that the source does not establish. If the sequence itself needs changing, revise the plan rather than treating one visually changed grid as a new authorized script.

02 / HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE OF FOUR STORYBOARD OPTIONS WITHOUT VOTING FOR THE PRETTIEST SHEET?

Review every planned cell before judging style

GateReview questionDecision
IdentityDoes every panel show the sold configuration?Reject a changed component; record option and panel number.
Coverage and orderDo all planned panels follow the same approved buyer explanation?Hold an omitted or changed planned step.
FeasibilityIs the shown action supported by references and the current video path?Revise an unsupported action before video approval.
StyleAmong factual survivors, is lighting and composition coherent?State the creative reason for preference.

Number cells left to right, top to bottom using the saved grid layout. Open the complete sheet at readable size. A thumbnail that hides a bad hinge cannot pass on its overall palette. A cropped panel check belongs to the same saved option and plan version.

Fictional ballot: option A adds a third compartment in panel 4: reject A. Option B preserves identity but obscures the approved divider view: hold B pending correction. Options C and D pass the stated factual checks; reviewers prefer C’s clearer product contrast. “Three attractive panels” cannot cancel A’s fatal identity error. This ballot is an editorial exercise, not a real render, statistical experiment, or proof of product performance.

03 / HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE OF FOUR STORYBOARD OPTIONS WITHOUT VOTING FOR THE PRETTIEST SHEET?

Keep the ballot independent of presentation

Ask two reviewers to identify the product and explain the advertised benefit before revealing the concept title. Let each write a rejection reason and a preferred surviving option. A disagreement about which countertop looks premium is less important than disagreement about whether the divider is included. Resolve factual questions with the source, then make the creative preference explicit.

Do not average a fatal product error into an otherwise high style score. This is a gate-based editorial method, not a validated statistical scoring system.

04 / HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE OF FOUR STORYBOARD OPTIONS WITHOUT VOTING FOR THE PRETTIEST SHEET?

Freeze the chosen sheet and next step

Save the selected option, script version and panel notes together. In CartVisual, choosing a sheet is followed by all-panel review and a separate video quote. Runway Ad Concepter is a separate product’s storyboard-concept workflow; it does not establish CartVisual’s option count, billing, or approvals. It is not automatic authorization to generate every alternative. If every option fails, revise the brief or references before making more sheets. Keep rejected reasons for the next planning round so the same unsupported visual does not return.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Should the most attractive sheet win?

Only among sheets that pass product and action review.

Can I approve only the first panel?

Review every panel in the saved 9-, 16- or 25-shot plan; later panels can change components or omit the approved explanation.

Does selecting a sheet begin four films?

No. Selection identifies the one sheet intended for a film.
