Product videos / DECISION GUIDE

Should product-video title space be planned before generation or added later?

Plan clear space before generation and keep exact titles editable in the finishing workflow. Review the area throughout the interval where the words will appear. A first-frame margin is a composition choice; the returned clip or complete multi-shot film still needs a final text-placement review.

01 / SHOULD PRODUCT-VIDEO TITLE SPACE BE PLANNED BEFORE GENERATION OR ADDED LATER?

Assign different jobs to the image and the title layer

The picture establishes where the product, support surface and background sit. A title layer establishes exact words, font size, timing and language. Keeping these jobs separate lets a shop change a seasonal message without paying to recreate approved motion. It also avoids treating a model-generated phrase as editable text when it is actually part of the pixels.

In an illustrative travel-cup ad, the product occupies the right half and the left wall is visually quiet. That is a useful layout intention, not a reserved digital box. A later approach could enlarge the cup into the wall. Describe the need for a clear message area in the creative brief and judge the resulting passage before selecting the final title position.

Runway’s image-to-video guide describes the input image as composition and starting-frame information. That principle does not reserve a permanent text region. For CartVisual’s optional single-shot preview, review its continuous passage; for complete TVC, review every selected shot and each join. See planning a readable visual message before finishing the actual output.

02 / SHOULD PRODUCT-VIDEO TITLE SPACE BE PLANNED BEFORE GENERATION OR ADDED LATER?

Inspect an area over time, not one empty rectangle

Mark the rough region that must remain available while the message is visible. Watch the entire interval at normal speed and inspect the widest product position, brightest reflection and busiest background moment. Empty at the opening does not mean empty during the sale line. A floating reflection can reduce contrast even when no object crosses the area.

Keep a temporary text block in your editing preview while reviewing the motion. Use representative word lengths rather than a tiny placeholder that flatters the composition. A German product phrase may need more room than the English version. This rehearsal tests the actual layout constraint without baking unapproved words into another paid image or video request.

Use placement decisions that match the failure

ObservationFirst decisionDo not assume
Clear space stays quietPlace an editable title thereThat all language versions will fit
Product enters the title regionMove or shorten the title, or choose another usable intervalThat a starting-frame margin remains protected
Background flashes behind the wordsUse a restrained readable text treatmentThat an empty area guarantees contrast
Every position covers a necessary detailRework the shot or use an external title cardThat smaller type solves the conflict

Choose according to the message viewers must read. If the cup handle is the central feature, placing the price over it defeats the shot even when the label remains visible. The table is an editorial decision aid, not an automatic safe-area feature in CartVisual.

In the fictional cup layout, the left wall is clear at the opening but the handle enters it during the middle. Keeping the title there for the whole clip fails. Moving the title to another verified area, choosing a usable interval or making a separate title card are different proposals; inspect the exact words and product behind each. No clip was generated or readability timing measured.

Check platform overlays independently

A layout can have enough visual space and still conflict with the social application interface. TikTok documents safe zones that vary with aspect ratio, caption length and additional formats. Use the current placement template and preview for the destination; there is no single universal bottom margin that stays correct for every advertisement. TikTok’s in-feed specifications.

Distinguish your own title from the platform caption, account label and purchase control. They are separate layers owned by different systems. In the cup example, moving a headline to the lower left may solve the product overlap but place it behind another interface element. Review the exported file inside the destination preview, not only in the editor.

Use the placement safe-area review for the destination interface. A shot’s quiet wall and the platform’s permitted overlay area must both work for the actual final layout.

05 / SHOULD PRODUCT-VIDEO TITLE SPACE BE PLANNED BEFORE GENERATION OR ADDED LATER?

Approve the composition before multiplying language versions

Save an approved clean clip and a separate editable title design. Record the interval used, the destination ratio and the message that was tested. Make translated versions from that pair, then check each export again. This approach reduces unnecessary visual regeneration while preserving the ability to correct spelling or an offer in the appropriate stage.

If no honest framing can accommodate the necessary copy, return to the scene decision. Do not shrink essential text until it becomes decorative or cover the product detail the viewer needs. CartVisual can help create a different starting image and shot, but the final placement decision remains a human review of the actual file and intended publication.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Does empty space in the first frame stay empty?

Not necessarily. Review the intended title area throughout the interval where the words will appear.

Can I request exact animated subtitles in the generated clip?

Keep the approved wording in a suitable finishing workflow and verify it in the delivered file. Generated lettering is part of the picture; it is not automatically an editable caption layer.

Should every language use the same title position?

Use a shared layout only when every actual translation remains readable and leaves the important product details visible.
