Product videos / SCENARIO GUIDE
How to make a product video work without generated audio
Make the product understandable with sound off before adding a soundtrack. Inspect the actual source from the chosen route: a raw model clip may contain audio, while CartVisual’s complete TVC edit removes it. Plan a clear visible message and check the full finished version with its captions and destination interface.
Give the picture one clear job
Choose the buyer’s question first. A visible lid can explain construction; a calm move across fabric can show appearance. Neither picture proves a performance figure. Keep the source and approved facts beside the brief, and remove a message that depends on an unseen mechanism.
For a silent-first placement, ask what remains understandable with audio muted. If a pocket detail needs explanation, plan short verified text. Do not expect moving generated lettering to become the final copy merely because the brief contains the right words.
Choose the actual production route
The optional single-shot preview uses the selected source for one continuous clip. The complete TVC route develops a multi-shot plan and reviewed storyboard grids, then generates and edits the selected shots. Keep those outputs separate when planning your message.
| Layer | Decision before creation | Decision at finishing |
|---|---|---|
| Picture | Approved product, supported visible action and source frames | Review the full selected clip or complete edit |
| Exact headline | Short approved wording | Add or verify readable final typography |
| Call to action | Correct destination and purpose | Set up the actual permitted publication route |
| Sound | Inspect what the chosen output contains | Use suitable permission and review its meaning |
A complete edit removes audio; a raw preview may have a track. Check the actual file before calling it silent. A soundtrack is also not evidence that the product makes that noise or achieves the depicted result.
Review a silent-first sequence
Fictional bag sequence S7 needs the viewer to identify the bag, notice its documented front pocket, then see a settled product ending. A hero image establishes identity; a detail shot may clarify the pocket. If one continuous source can do that clearly, keep it simple. If separate shots serve the message better, review their relationship in the complete plan and edit.
- Approve the real product facts and source images before planning.
- Read the plan and inspect each selected frame against those sources.
- Confirm the actual stage quote and approval before creating its output.
- Watch the entire returned file with sound off, then review the finishing layers.
S7 is an invented planning case, not a generated film. An attractive last frame cannot excuse a wrong pocket earlier. A cut can also remove the identification that makes the detail understandable.
Approve the final words and placement
TikTok’s creative guide explains that interface elements can cover the product or message. Its safe-zone principle supports checking the actual destination preview; it does not supply one fixed overlay position for every placement.
At intended phone size, read each caption during normal playback and inspect the product behind it. Review both with and without the final sound. Keep a clean source when future copy may change, and identify the finished export separately. Use the text-layer guide to distinguish visible copy from speech captions and the added-sound review for product implications.
