Credits & account / PRODUCTION GUIDE
What remains available after you cancel future membership renewal?
Canceling auto-renew stops future renewal while current paid access continues to its paid-through date. It does not turn every credit pool into a permanent balance or delete completed assets. Confirm the cancellation status, remaining access period and individual credit expiry dates in your account, then plan any new work from the current permissions and quote.
Cancel the renewal, then confirm the account state
Open Credits & account in the account that owns the membership. Use Cancel auto-renew for the relevant subscription and read its confirmation. After the operation completes, check that the current paid period is still shown and auto-renew is off. A click followed by an error is not a confirmed cancellation.
The intended change concerns the next renewal. In an illustrative Studio campaign, canceling during a paid month does not mean the remaining days immediately disappear. Keep the actual paid-through date from the account rather than calculating it from a remembered signup day. Payment confirmation, subscription status and access dates can carry more information than a simple canceled label.
If the cancellation action reports an error or the renewal state remains unclear, record that unresolved state and check the existing subscription through the supported billing route. A closed dialog, changed browser tab or intention to cancel is not a completed operation. Do not buy another plan to force the state to refresh. This guide has not canceled or inspected a real subscription.
Map the four separate clocks
| Record | After confirmed cancellation | Planning consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-renew state | Future automatic renewal is stopped | Do not expect another monthly allowance |
| Paid-through date | Current paid access continues to that date | Use current permissions while valid |
| Credit-pool expiry | Each source keeps its applicable rules | Check allowance available for the planned day |
| Completed asset | Existing assets remain downloadable | Reuse approved work where appropriate |
Read these records together. A remaining extra-credit balance does not extend membership permissions. A completed image is not another pending generation, so downloading it is a separate activity from submitting new member-only work. The table describes the current CartVisual workflow; the specific dates and balances must come from your own account.
Budget from credit dates rather than the canceled badge
Check these records in order before planning new work:
- Confirm the paid-through time. Read the date and time shown in your account. Do not calculate it from a remembered signup day.
- Check access on the day you need it. Current paid access continues through that period. After it ends, check the actual feature and resolution permissions; spare credits do not extend them. Administrator or eligible earlier-purchase access may be an exception, so use your actual permissions.
- Check each credit pool’s expiry. Monthly credits follow their paid cycle. Rollover needs eligible on-time renewal; do not promise it after renewal stops. Extra packs have their own expiry. Earlier purchased credits keep their applicable rules. Cancellation does not merge these pools or extend their dates.
Fictional example, with ordinary monthly access only: the paid-through time is November 6 at 10:00 UTC, and auto-renew is off. An add-on pool has 40 credits valid beyond that time. On November 5, the member can still check the active plan and quote. On November 7, the 40 credits alone do not retain that plan’s member-only features or higher-resolution rights. Check the remaining permissions before a new request. These dates and amounts are invented, not a real account record.
Keep cancellation and refunds as different requests
Photoroom directs customers to cancel through the platform that owns their subscription and verify the resulting status. Its payment routes are its own. CartVisual’s current monthly workflow uses the workspace cancellation action for its PayPal subscription. Logging out or closing a browser does not perform that action.
Stopping renewal does not itself request reimbursement for a paid period or completed generation. For a payment dispute or refund question, use the applicable policy and order evidence. Do not assume cancellation restores spent credits.
The current CartVisual membership terms describe paid-through access, cancellation and existing downloads. Read them with the account record; another service’s policy does not establish your CartVisual entitlements.
Preserve usable work and a clear stopping record
Download the approved assets you need from their owner account. Canceling renewal does not delete the account or its existing completed files. This is not a promise of perpetual hosting or recovery. If a stored result is missing or will not download, use the completed-result delivery check and keep that problem separate from renewal status.
Keep a short closing record: cancellation confirmation, paid-through time, unfinished task identifiers and the person responsible for the next step. Check submitted work in Generation tasks; stopping renewal does not cancel an existing generation. If the subscription status is unclear, report its existing record rather than buying another plan to force a refresh.
The credit-pool guide explains allowance timing. A downloaded asset still needs accurate copy and the right permissions for its intended publication; the billing record does not approve a new crop or product claim.
Sources and further reading
Recorded source-review dates are listed individually below. An undated source does not inherit the article’s publication date. Software and platform rules can change; check the current original before acting.

Frequently asked questions
Does canceling auto-renew cancel a video already submitted?
No. Check the submitted generation separately in Generation tasks. Renewal cancellation is a billing decision.
Do remaining extra credits keep member-only features unlocked forever?
No. Credit allowance and feature access are separate. Check the paid-through period and actual account permissions.
Can I still download an already completed image after cancellation?
Canceling renewal does not delete an existing completed asset in the current workflow. Sign in to its owner account and retrieve the stored file; a separate missing-file or download problem still needs investigation.
